SECOND: DETERMINE
THE APPROPRIATE SHADE SIZE:
Shade Size vs. Lamp Size
Measuring is fairly straightforward. You don't
need to buy a new shade that's exactly like the one you are
replacing. The height of the shade should be roughly 3/4 of the
height of the base, and the shades width should extend past the
widest part of the lamp base. Make certain that any new shade
extends down far enough to cover all the electrical fittings and the
base of the light socket. |
