HOW TO DETERMINE THE LAMPS SHADE SIZE & STYLE
FIRST: DETERMINE THE SHADE TYPE:


Do You Need a Clip On or Washer-Fitter Shade?


(NOTE: The Standard Size is 4 X 11 X 7 for a Clip On Shade
& 6x10x8 for a Washer-Fitter Shade) 		CLIP ON

SECOND: DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE SHADE SIZE:

Shade Size vs. Lamp Size

 Measuring is fairly straightforward. You don't need to buy a new shade that's exactly like the one you are replacing. The height of the shade should be roughly 3/4 of the height of the base, and the shades width should extend past the widest part of the lamp base. Make certain that any new shade extends down far enough to cover all the electrical fittings and the base of the light socket.

A = TOP (OPENING)
